组织概况
世界玫瑰协会联盟（World Federation of Rose Societies，简称WFRS）是国际性的月季（玫瑰）行业自律与服务组织，由各国月季协会和爱好者组成，致力于推动全球玫瑰文化的保护、传承与发展。
组织架构与历史
世界玫瑰协会联盟由各国月季协会组成，理事会由各成员国代表组成。联盟总部位于荷兰霍根海德（Valkestraat 10, 4631 RJ Hoogerheide, Netherlands）。联盟定期举办世界玫瑰大会和各类国际月季Trial（品种评选）活动，推动月季品种的创新与交流。
主要活动
联盟每三年举办一次世界玫瑰大会（World Rose Convention），至今已举办至第21届。2026年4月24日至28日，第17届国际古老玫瑰大会在中国南阳和上海联合举办，由中国月季协会承办，主题为”玫瑰与熊猫之旅”。2028年1月7日至13日，第21届世界玫瑰大会将在印度博帕尔举办，由MP月季协会承办。
国际月季Trial制度
联盟设有国际月季Trial（品种评选）制度，各成员国可申请举办国际月季Trial活动。Trial评审团由国际月季专家组成，对参赛月季品种进行全面评估，评选出优良品种予以推荐。
荣誉与奖项
联盟设有”花园卓越奖”（Award of Garden Excellence），表彰在历史、教育或景观方面表现卓越的玫瑰花园。”文学奖”（Literary Award）始于2006年，用于表彰优秀的月季主题图书。”玫瑰名人堂”（Rose Hall of Fame）通过成员国投票选出全球最受欢迎的月季品种。
品种保护与传承
联盟高度重视古老月季品种的保护工作，设有”古老玫瑰名人堂”（Old Rose Hall of Fame）和”保护与传承”专页，提供各类古老月季品种保护资源链接。2007年成立的”育种家俱乐部”（Breeder’s Club）汇聚了众多专业月季育种者，共同推动月季品种的创新发展。
国际合作
世界玫瑰协会联盟与各国月季协会保持紧密合作，通过国际月季Trial制度、学术交流和联合活动促进全球玫瑰文化发展。联盟成员国遍布五大洲，是全球玫瑰行业最具影响力的国际组织。

Organization Structure and History
The WFRS consists of national rose societies from various countries, with a council composed of representatives from member nations. The federation headquarters is located in Hoogerheide, Netherlands. The federation regularly organizes World Rose Conventions and various international rose trials to promote rose variety innovation and exchange.
Major Activities
The federation hosts the World Rose Convention every three years, with the 21st edition upcoming. The 17th International Heritage Rose Conference was held jointly in Nanyang and Shanghai, China from April 24-28, 2026, hosted by the Chinese Rose Society. The 21st World Rose Convention will be held in Bhopal, India from January 7-13, 2028, hosted by the MP Rose Society.
International Rose Trial System
The federation operates an international rose trial system where member countries can apply to host international rose trials. Judging panels composed of international rose experts conduct comprehensive evaluations of submitted rose varieties.
Honors and Awards
The federation presents the Award of Garden Excellence to recognize rose gardens of exceptional historical, educational, or visual significance. The Literary Award, established in 2006, honors outstanding rose-related publications. The Rose Hall of Fame recognizes the world’s favorite rose varieties through popular vote among member countries.
Conservation and Heritage
The federation is committed to the conservation of heritage rose varieties, maintaining the Old Rose Hall of Fame and providing resources for heritage rose conservation. The Breeders’ Club, established in 2007, brings together professional rose breeders to advance rose variety innovation.
International Cooperation
The WFRS maintains close cooperation with rose societies worldwide through its international rose trial system, academic exchanges, and joint activities, promoting the development of global rose culture as the most influential international rose organization across five continents.
