加拿大 Kitty Coleman 林地花园坐落于不列颠哥伦比亚省科莫克斯山谷 (Comox Valley) 的科特尼 (Courtenay) 北侧，距离老岛高速公路 (Old Island Highway) 仅数公里、距市区约 15 分钟车程。园区所在地原为园主 Bryan Zimmerman 的家族圣诞树农场与”圣诞老人谷仓”所在地，他在保留原始林地与天然水道的前提下，徒手清理出绵延逾一英里的树皮覆盖步道并沿地势布置多处水景，使 24 英亩的森林逐步演化为可步行的非正式展示花园。
杜鹃花专类与本土植物配置
园区被广泛誉为加拿大西部最大的杜鹃花专类展示园之一，自 1980 年代以来陆续栽种超过 3000 株不同品种与规格的杜鹃花，搭配甘草蕨、鹿蕨、剑蕨等本土蕨类以及甜 boxwood、星花延龄草、雏百合、俄勒冈葡萄、香草叶与荷包牡丹等林缘草本，构建自然与栽培交融的混生群落。杜鹃花的花期主要集中于每年三月至六月底，深绿革质叶亦为冬季提供稳定的观赏价值。
艺术节庆与手工艺者计划
园区每年定期举办两届艺术节庆：五月的 Arts & Bloom 与九月的 Artisans Festival，节庆期间面向手工艺者开放评审申请，展位尺寸统一为 12 英尺 × 12 英尺、展期三天、参展费 200 加元，由园方按室外环境作通盘安排。两届艺术节均要求参展作品为原创设计，进口或代销商品不在接受范围内，并要求参展者自备展示器材、应对全部天气状况，节庆风雨不改。
公众接待与园内服务

Site and Forest Setting
Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens is a privately operated woodland garden located about 15 minutes north of Courtenay in the Comox Valley of British Columbia, on the east side of Vancouver Island just off the Old Island Highway. The site occupies roughly 24 acres of forested land that was gradually shaped into a walkable garden over many seasons by owner Bryan Zimmerman, who cleared underbrush by hand and laid more than a mile of bark-mulched paths through the original woodland, preserving most of the natural canopy and adding several ponds placed into the upper contours.
Rhododendron Collection and Native Plant Layer
The garden is widely regarded as one of the largest rhododendron collections in Western Canada, with more than 3000 rhododendron plants of different varieties and sizes planted since the early years of the project and supplemented by native companions such as licorice, deer and sword ferns together with sweet boxwood, fawn lily, Oregon grape, vanilla leaf and bleeding hearts on the forest floor. The rhododendrons bloom mainly from March through the end of June, while the dark green evergreen foliage carries the visual interest through the rest of the year.
Annual Arts Festivals and Juried Craft Program
The garden hosts two annual arts festivals, Arts & Bloom in May and the Artisans Festival in September, both juried entry events that accept applications from qualified artists and artisans working in original designs and prohibit imported or resale products. Exhibitor booths are 12 by 12 feet, the three-day participation fee is 200 CAD, exhibitors supply their own display materials and can set up from Friday morning through dusk, and the festival runs rain or shine as an outdoor show anchored to the garden’s visitor schedule.
Visitor Services and On-Site Amenities
The garden is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to dusk, with adult admission 8 CAD, youth 5 to 12 admission 3 CAD, children under 5 free, and dogs on leash welcome on the grounds. Visitor amenities include resting benches, a Polynesian-style hand-built gazebo, a picnic area and a tea room, with guided tours and group reservations pre-arranged in advance; the season pass at 50 CAD per person per year provides unlimited visits, and weddings plus intimate summer concerts are arranged by direct contact with the owner.
