展示花园、温室销售区与一对一客户服务
苗圃的展示花园（Display Gardens）按不同光照条件分区，访客可以自助游览全光照、半阴与全阴环境下的成熟植株表现，再前往后方的温室、销售区与备货床挑选同款预盆栽多年生植物（展示花园的植株本身不参与销售）。Gardens Plus 提供一对一种植咨询、面向园艺俱乐部与观光团的团体参观（含小型工作坊，需支付少量费用）以及季节性有限的在线预购购物车；季节性营业时间建议在 Google 地图上查阅，客服首选电子邮件沟通，承诺 “让您享受花园，而不只是劳作于花园”。
Brand and Easy-Care Perennials in Peterborough, Ontario
Gardens Plus is a family-run perennial nursery in the Donwood area of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, founded by Dawn and her husband Doug (Doug also runs Doug’s Gardening Services, the landscape installation arm). The property was purchased in the fall of 1996 and the nursery opened to the public in the spring of 1997, with the 2026 season marking the 29th year of operation; located two minutes east of Peterborough in the Kawartha Lakes region, the nursery grows 100 percent of its perennials in Ontario greenhouses and fields, so every plant leaving the property is acclimatised to local soils, rainfall and winter temperatures.
Hosta and Daylily Specialty Plus Native Selection
Back in 1999, when most local garden centres offered no more than ten to twenty common varieties, Gardens Plus narrowed its focus to Hosta and Daylily. Today the catalogue also includes Coral Bells, Coneflowers, Native Perennials and Hellebores, all selected under the easy-care principle that defines the brand.
Stock plants come from trusted growers including Naylor Creek Hosta Gardens, Walters Gardens Inc., Terra Nova, Ball Horticultural Company, Julie Covington and Green Hill Farm. The team only pots up #1 size plants they would buy for their own gardens, never sells invasive species, and grows without any pesticides or other chemicals.
Display Gardens, Greenhouses and Personalized Service
The Display Gardens are organised by light condition (full sun, part shade and full shade) and offer a self-guided tour of mature perennials (please note that the display plants are not for sale); the sales greenhouses, stock beds and pre-potted perennial area sit out the back, where customers can pick up the same varieties seen on tour. Personalised planting advice, group tours (a small mini-workshop is available for a fee), and a seasonal online pre-order cart for pickup are all part of the service, while seasonal hours change frequently and the team recommends checking Google Maps before driving out.
