DAHLIAaddict.com 是面向美国与加拿大园艺爱好者的可邮购大丽花品种数据库，自 2015 年由一个人独立维护至今，站点口号是 Obsessively Handcrafted Since 2015。免费用户可以按 A 到 Z 二十六个字母浏览所有公开品种，订阅版每月 0.5 美元或每年 5.99 美元，付费后可解锁两百多家额外的供应商、更多品种条目以及供应商目录过滤等高级功能。Shipping Area 默认显示 US 和 CAN 两种取货地，邮寄范围随选择切换。

品种数据库与索引规模

数据库 5388 个可邮购大丽花品种，按 A 到 Z 二十六个字母分页，每一品种条目同时标注花型 Size、花形 Form、花色 Color 三个筛选项，三十字母并连续可以二次过滤到具体某一品种。源站公开统计显示，1798 个品种也就是 33% 只能从单一供应商买到，五万一千多条库存条目里有百分之五是已售罄状态，五十种最常被列出的品种占了整体条目的一半，前一百一十四种占了四分之一。免费版首页底部还有 Recently Added Varieties 列表，每周手动添加若干新条目。

供应商页当前收录 405 家大丽花苗圃，三十家已经为 2027 季开放预订，其余按年份陆续开启。每家供应商有独立页面，标注州、城市或省份、可供品种目录与状态徽章，分 Open for 2027 与 Not Yet Open for 2027 两组排序。代表性苗圃包括 Swan Island Dahlias、Holland Farm Field 等老牌灌溉站，以及大量家庭作坊式小苗圃如 Lees Cowgirl City、Florelie 系列、Vallejo Street Dahlias 等，订阅版还能解锁 Subscriber Exclusive Suppliers 的两百多家额外供应商列表。

检索工具与赞助机制

检索框支持精确子串匹配，配合 % 通配符可以查询同一系列下的所有品种，比如 hill%beauty 会返回所有名字后段含 beauty 的 Hollyhill 系列。搜索不智能但允许缩写，建议输入三到六个确信字符并用空格分词，反例 r rai 可以查到 Summer Rain、la b 可以查到 Chateau de la Bourdaisiere 等。站点的 Stars 板块提供赞助机制，0.5 美元以上赞助者可以选择让自己的名字出现在某个字母的全部搜索结果底部，金额越高在那个字母里的展示位越靠前，订阅也自动成为赞助者。

分类标准与免费数据更新

分类沿用美国大丽花协会 ADS 与加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大丽花协会等北美体系的 Size / Form / Color 三维方法。Form 涵盖 Informal Decorative、Semi Cactus、Cactus、Ball、Pompon、Single、Collarette、Anemone、Orchid 等十几种花形，Size 从 Micro 到 Giant 分为九档。最近一次大版本更新在 2026 年 10 月 6 日，把所有品种条目包括仅由订阅专属供应商提供的全部对免费用户开放，供应商状态图标加了悬浮说明。

Site Positioning and Service Coverage

DAHLIAaddict.com is a database of dahlia varieties available for mail-order sale to gardeners in the United States and Canada. It has been obsessively handcrafted since 2015 by a single maintainer. The free version lets visitors browse every publicly listed variety through an A to Z index. A subscription costs USD 0.50 a month or USD 5.99 a year and unlocks more than 200 additional suppliers, hundreds more varieties, and supplier catalog filters. The Shipping Area toggle defaults to US and CAN and switches the mailing scope accordingly.

Variety Database and Index Size

The database currently lists 5,388 mail-order dahlia varieties, split across twenty-six A to Z pages. Each variety page exposes three filters: Size, Form, and Color, which together narrow a letter page to one entry. Public statistics on the source site note that 1,798 varieties, 33 percent, are available from only one supplier, that 51,342 inventory listings include a 5 percent sold-out rate, and that the 50 most commonly offered varieties make up half of all listings while the top 114 varieties make up a quarter. A Recently Added Varieties block is updated by hand each week.

Supplier List and Mail-Order Channels

The supplier index lists 405 dahlia growers, of which 30 have opened their stores for the 2027 season and the rest will open later in the year. Each supplier has a dedicated page with state or province, city, available variety list, and status badges, and they are sorted into two groups: Dahlia Growers Open for 2027 and Dahlia Growers Not Yet Open for 2027. Long-running growers such as Swan Island Dahlias and Holland Farm Field anchor the index alongside many home-scale nurseries such as Lees Cowgirl City, the Florelie series, and Vallejo Street Dahlias. The subscription also unlocks more than 200 additional Subscriber Exclusive Suppliers.

Search Tool and Sponsorship Mechanism

The search box accepts literal substring input and supports the % wildcard so that hill%beauty returns every Hollyhill variety whose name has beauty later on. The search is not smart: a few confirmed letters separated by spaces usually works, for example r rai for Summer Rain or la b for Chateau de la Bourdaisiere. The Stars page hosts a sponsorship mechanism: anyone who pays more than USD 0.50 a year can choose to have a business name, handle, initials, or dedication appear at the bottom of every search result for a particular letter, and higher tiers get higher traffic letters. Subscribing automatically counts as sponsorship.

Classification Standard and Recent Updates

Classification follows the Size, Form, and Color system used by the American Dahlia Society and the British Columbia Dahlia Society in North America. Form covers more than ten flower shapes such as Informal Decorative, Semi Cactus, Cactus, Ball, Pompon, Single, Collarette, Anemone, and Orchid, while Size spans nine grades from Micro to Giant. The most recent major release on October 6, 2026, opened every Variety listing to all visitors including those only offered by Subscriber Exclusive Suppliers, made variety notes visible to all, and added hover tooltips to supplier status icons.
