协会概况
德国慕尼黑多年生植物协会，全称 Gesellschaft der Staudenfreunde e.V.（简称 GdS），1950 年成立于德国，最初名为 Deutsche Iris-Gesellschaft，1960 年扩展为 Deutsche Iris- und Liliengesellschaft，1973 年正式更名为现在的 GdS。协会总部位于德国雷根斯堡（Regensburg），现有约 6,000 名会员，分布在德国、奥地利、瑞士、法国及其他多个国家。协会下设多个 Regionalgruppen（地区小组）和 Fachgruppen（专题小组），比如柏林东南郊的 Blumenzwiebeln und Rhizome（球根花卉与根茎）专题小组。
会员与活动
协会会员可每季度收到会刊《der Staudengarten》（多年生花园），并参与全国性 Samentauschaktion（种子交流活动），自 1960 年起举办至今。协会每年在不同地区举办 Jahrestagung（年会），由各地区小组联合承办，含花园参观、共进晚餐及晚间专题演讲。2024 年 11 月 16 日，协会在埃尔福特（Erfurt）举办研讨会「Die Garrigue kommt nach Mitteleuropa」（加里格式灌丛来到中欧），邀请 Jonas Reif、Cassian Schmidt、Peter Janke、Till Hofmann、Petr Hanzelka、Olivier Filippi 等六位国际讲者分享地中海特色植物在中欧园艺中的应用经验。2026 年的年会在威斯特法伦州 Billerbeck 举行（6 月 19–21 日），约有 230 名来自全德的会员参加，创下新的参与纪录，期间安排了 11 趟巴士游览，覆盖会员私家花园、当地庄园府第以及荷兰边境的现代花园；2027 年的年会则定在弗赖堡（Freiburg im Breisgau）举办。
出版物与种子交流
协会核心出版物是季刊《der Staudengarten》，全年四期。年度种子交流活动自 1960 年由前身协会首办，会员每年 12 月底随刊收到 Samentausch 目录，可从目录中申请其他会员采集并提交的多年生植物种子。协会网站还设有多年生植物专类介绍栏目，覆盖耧斗菜和唐松草、球根花卉、蕨类植物、苦苣苔、观赏草、铁筷子、萱草、玉簪、鸢尾、野生多年生植物、百合、牡丹等门类；论坛设有多年生植物、观赏树木、攀援植物、温室植物、厨房花园、植物种植、园林绿化、花园和居民等讨论区。协会与德国 Bund deutscher Staudengärtner（BdS）合作运营的 19 个 Sichtungsgärten（评估花园）分布在德国、奥地利、瑞士和捷克，按统一评分标准对多年生植物品种进行多年田间评估。

About the Society
The German Perennial Society, formally Gesellschaft der Staudenfreunde e.V. (GdS), is an association of approximately 6,000 gardeners, plant enthusiasts, collectors, breeders, and horticulturists. Founded in 1950 as the Deutsche Iris-Gesellschaft, the society expanded in 1960 to become the Deutsche Iris- und Liliengesellschaft and was renamed to its present form in 1973. Headquartered in Regensburg, Germany, the society serves members across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and many other countries. Its organizational network comprises Regionalgruppen (regional chapters) and Fachgruppen (specialist groups), such as the Berlin-area Blumenzwiebeln und Rhizome (bulbs and rhizomes) working group.
Membership and Events
Members receive the quarterly magazine «der Staudengarten» and participate in the nationwide Samentauschaktion (seed exchange), first run in 1960 by the predecessor society. Each year a different regional chapter hosts the Jahrestagung (annual meeting), which combines tours of gardens and nurseries, communal dinners, and evening lectures. On 16 November 2024, the society held the symposium «Die Garrigue kommt nach Mitteleuropa» in Erfurt, with international speakers Jonas Reif, Cassian Schmidt, Peter Janke, Till Hofmann, Petr Hanzelka, and Olivier Filippi sharing their experience with Mediterranean garrigue plants and their future relevance for central European horticulture. The 2026 Jahrestagung took place in Billerbeck, Westphalia (19–21 June) and drew around 230 members from across Germany, a new attendance record; it featured eleven coach tours that took in members’ private gardens, historic Westphalian estates, and modern gardens across the Dutch border. The 2027 Jahrestagung will be held in Freiburg im Breisgau.
Publications and Seed Exchange
The society’s main publication is the quarterly journal «der Staudengarten», issued four times per year. The annual seed exchange has been run since 1960 by the predecessor society; in late December members receive the Samentausch catalogue together with issue 1 of the journal and may apply for seeds collected and contributed by fellow members. The website also hosts detailed perennial-plant profiles covering Aquilegia and Thalictrum, bulbs, ferns, Gesneriads, ornamental grasses, Helleborus, Hemerocallis, Hosta, Iris, wild perennials, Lilium, and Paeonia, alongside a member forum with discussion areas on perennials, ornamental trees, climbers, greenhouse plants, kitchen gardens, planting, landscaping, gardens, and residential gardening. Together with the Bund deutscher Staudengärtner (BdS), the society supports a network of 19 Sichtungsgärten (trial gardens) across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic, where candidate cultivars are evaluated over several years under a uniform scoring system.

Each year members organise or take part in the nationwide «Offene Gartenpforte» (Open Garden Gate) event, when members’ gardens open to the public on designated weekends for visits and plant-care exchange.
