Founded in Berlin as a chemical-pharmaceutical company in 1931, AGLUKON launched its first WUXAL® foliar fertilizer in 1956, initiating a new era in foliar nutrition. In 1971 the company became part of the Philips Duphar international network, before being acquired by Schering AG in 1974 and consolidated as the group’s center of competence for plant nutrition. Following a joint venture with Hoechst AG in the mid-1990s, AGLUKON was taken over by the family-owned Haug Group in 2008, entering a phase of stable growth that saw the modernization of production lines and the construction of a new high-bay warehouse in the 2010s, consolidating its global specialty fertilizer position.

AGLUKON’s portfolio is built around five solution lines: foliar nutrition, seed treatment, biostimulation, organic farming plus fertigation, and slow-release fertilizer. The foliar line draws on more than 60 years of suspension and liquid formulation expertise, while the seed-treatment line applies nutrients directly onto seed surfaces for stronger early-stage establishment. The biostimulation line, developed over the past 20 years, addresses climate-related plant stress, and the organic-farming line meets EU regulations along with multiple national certifications. Fertigation and slow-release products are built on advanced urea-formaldehyde technology. All formulations are developed in-house at the Düsseldorf laboratory and manufactured at the German production site under strict quality control, with customization available to meet different national regulations and climates.
