公司概况

农友种苗股份有限公司（Known-You Seed Co., Ltd.）由创办人陈文郁先生于 1968 年 12 月 7 日在台湾高雄市大树区创立，至今已发展为亚洲最具规模的种苗企业之一。公司以”一粒种子、一个责任”为核心价值，长期投入蔬菜与花卉品种研发、种子生产技术及质量管控，自有 F1 一代杂交种子累计推出超过 3000 个商业品种，行销全球 170 余国。除总部外，农友陆续在台湾、荷兰、美国、中国厦门、泰国、马来西亚、越南、印度、菲律宾、缅甸、印度尼西亚等地设立子公司或合资公司，形成完整的全球种苗产销网络。

产品线与研发

产品涵盖西瓜、哈密瓜、甜瓜、圣女果、番茄、木瓜、黄瓜、南瓜、辣椒、茄子、十字花科蔬菜、玉米、豆类、莴苣等 200 余种作物，以及一串红、万寿菊、向日葵、鸡冠花、矮牵牛、鼠尾草、薰衣草等观赏花卉种子。主推品种如”红铃”小果番茄、”甜美人”哈密瓜、”夏艳”西瓜、”宝冠”南瓜等长期在台湾与亚洲市场流通。公司在台湾设有嘉义农业试验农场与南投花卉苗圃，并在 2013 年投资荷兰分子育种公司 Genetwister，强化抗病、耐热、耐湿等逆境性状的选育能力。

全球布局与公益

公司自 1989 年于厦门设立孙种子公司为起点，1990 年代起密集展开海外布局，2002 年完成厦门新办公楼与种子管理中心的建设，2011 年落成高雄总部新大楼与种子大楼。1992 年由创办人陈文郁个人捐资成立”财团法人农友社会福利基金会”，持续办理果菜节、温室小果番茄竞赛、农园绘画比赛、农村摄影比赛等推广活动，并发行 12 册农业教科书、累计提供 5588 人次奖学金与超过 56000 人次农村福利参与。

Guided by the core value of “one seed, one responsibility,” the company invests continuously in vegetable and flower breeding, seed-production technology and quality control, and has released more than 3,000 commercial F1 hybrid varieties now distributed in over 170 countries. Company Overview

From its early focus on watermelon, cantaloupe, papaya and cherry-tomato breeding, Known-You has expanded its portfolio to cover more than 200 crop species, ranging from solanaceous vegetables, cucurbits, brassicas, leafy greens, corn and legumes to a wide selection of ornamental flowers. Long-running commercial lines such as the “Red Bell” cherry tomato, “Sweet Beauty” cantaloupe, “Summer Beauty” watermelon and “Crown” pumpkin have become reference varieties across Asian and subtropical markets, while the company’s Chiayi Research Farm and Nantou Flower Nursery in Taiwan support ongoing variety trials and seed-stock maintenance.

Product Lines and R&D

Known-You’s R&D programs concentrate on disease resistance, heat tolerance and moisture tolerance—three traits that are decisive for growers in tropical and subtropical climates. In 2013 the company invested in the Dutch molecular-breeding firm Genetwister Technologies to incorporate marker-assisted selection into its pipeline, and in 2022 it completed new office and seed-processing complexes in India and Vietnam. The company has introduced more than 3,000 F1 hybrid cultivars to date and continues to release new commercial varieties each year for both professional growers and hobby gardeners.

Global Footprint and Foundation

International expansion began in 1989 with the establishment of Sun Seeds (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. and accelerated through the 1990s and 2000s with subsidiaries in Thailand, Vietnam, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and Malaysia, plus the 2013 launch of Known-You Seed (USA) Ltd. and the 2025 founding of Known-You Seed Europe B.V. in the Netherlands. Alongside the business, founder Wen-Yu Chen personally endowed the Known-You Social Welfare Foundation in 1992; over the following three decades the foundation has published twelve agricultural textbooks, awarded 5,588 scholarships and engaged 56,453 participants in rural-welfare activities such as fruit-and-vegetable festivals, greenhouse cherry-tomato contests and school potted-plant growing programs.
