农场大丽花品种丰富,常年在售的包括 Nathalie G、Love Life、Breakout、Paradise City、Contraste、Rosella、Cornel Brons、Cafe au Ltar、Arbatax、Sweet Love、Ocean Bird、Jowie Winnie、Robann Regal、Seduction、Arabian Night、Jowey Chantel、Ariko Szaza、Red Cap、White Onesta、Boom Boom White、Silver Years、Sunny Boy、Golden Torch 等近三十个商业品种,色彩覆盖橙、粉、黄、白、紫及双色混色。

About the Farm

Creekside Growers is a family-run cut-flower and dahlia tuber farm located in the Delhi area of Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. The farm began on a small acreage near Hartford as a two-person operation focused on field-grown peonies, drawing on the parents’ thirty years of growing experience, and has steadily expanded each year into one of Canada’s leading dahlia producers. The current operation is based on a farm purchased closer to Delhi ahead of the 2017 growing season, with five acres of dahlias grown specifically for u-cut and tuber production alongside separate fields serving the cut-flower trade.

Relocation from Hartford to Delhi

Founded as a small family operation in Hartford, Ontario, the farm grew steadily over its first several years and broadened from peony cuts into dahlia cuts, dahlia tubers for retail, and a seasonal u-cut patch. After 2016, the original Hartford site was deemed too small for the next phase of growth, and a larger farm closer to Delhi was purchased and brought into production for the 2017 season. Day-to-day operations continue to be run by the founding family, with seasonal labour added during the harvest period.

Dahlia and Peony Cultivars

The farm grows a wide catalogue of dahlia cultivars for the cut-flower trade and for tuber retail, including Nathalie G, Love Life, Breakout, Paradise City, Contraste, Rosella, Cornel Brons, Cafe au Ltar, Arbatax, Sweet Love, Ocean Bird, Jowie Winnie, Robann Regal, Seduction, Arabian Night, Jowey Chantel, Ariko Szasa, Red Cap, White Onesta, Boom Boom White, Silver Years, Sunny Boy, Golden Torch, alongside further field-grown peonies. Cut flowers are primarily distributed through the Ontario Flower Growers Co-op, Ontario florists, and wholesalers serving markets from Sudbury to North Carolina and from Thunder Bay to Prince Edward Island.

Retail, Distribution and U-Cut

Tubers are sold online via the Bloom Box, typically opening for spring shipping each year once inventory is finalised; the farm accepts wedding flower enquiries by direct contact. On-farm u-cut is open seasonally with hours posted on the website, ending in early October each year. Cut stems reach florists across Ontario via the Co-op channel, while the wholesale network extends east-west from Sudbury to North Carolina and from Thunder Bay to Prince Edward Island. The farm operates as a year-round family business with seasonal help during the cut and tuber season.

Growing FAQ and Public Events

The website’s FAQ section covers planting timing (typically late May once soil can be worked, earlier in milder Canadian locations), planting depth (2-3 inches of soil over the tuber), soil requirements (well-drained, pH 6.5-7.2), sun exposure (full sun, 6-10 hours), fertilisation (balanced 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 plus side-dressing during bloom), common pests (thrips, aphids, Lygus, Japanese beetles, leafhoppers, slugs, earwigs) with biological and chemical control notes, and digging and storage of tubers. The farm also hosts seasonal workshops such as Winter Urn, Christmas Wreath and Get Plastered, with schedules posted on the website.
