Early农场和花园中心（Early’s Farm & Garden Centre）位于加拿大萨斯喀彻温省萨斯卡通市，由S.A. History and Evolution
Early’s Farm & Garden Centre is headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1907 by S.A. Early as a hay, grain and feed store on Twentieth Street East, the company joined the wholesale fruit business with cousin J.H. “Hunter” Early in 1909. After moving to Avenue A South in 1914 and adding a second grain elevator in 1928, the company expanded into livestock feed manufacturing and seed grain cleaning. In 1942 it published its first Spring Catalogue, and in 1948 was renamed Early Seed & Feed Ltd. On February 23, 1983 the company opened a new 25,000 sq. ft. facility at 2615 Lorne Avenue under its current name Early’s Farm & Garden Centre Inc., marking the transition from a wholesale seed and feed operator into a full-line garden centre.
Product Range and Departments
The company operates six core departments covering garden and lawn supplies, pet supplies, saddlery and tack, livestock feeds, grass and forage seed, biological controls and pond care, plus statuary and fountains. The in-house “Sunlight” livestock feed brand is still produced, and the company is a major supplier to about 200 golf facilities across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta, including the Willows and Elkridge Resorts. In 2026 Early’s became the first retailer in the region to introduce True Potato Seeds (TPS) developed by Saskatchewan-based Tuberosum Technologies, launching three varieties — IvyRose, Solaris and Artemesia — that offer longer storage life, improved disease resistance and easier shipping compared with traditional seed tubers.

Designed specifically for the hot, dry summers and cold Saskatchewan winters, Early’s offers a complete line of regional grass seed blends. Erin Green is the classic “show lawn” high-maintenance Kentucky bluegrass blend; Shady Glenn is built for shaded and tree-covered yards; Western Parks serves acreages, cottages and rural properties with low-maintenance turf; XERI Lawn is an ultra-low-maintenance fine-fescue option for naturalized landscapes; and Reclamation supports erosion control and site recovery. The commercial turf line further includes Standard Fairway, Tee Box, Alkali Turf, Playground and custom 25 kg blends engineered for golf courses, sports fields and reclamation projects across the Prairies.
Community Commitment and Service
Early’s longstanding “Commitment to Customer Service” mission, established by founder S.A. Early, is upheld today by a team of about 36 long-term staff. The company sponsors local arts, business and sports organizations, runs the Early’s Seeds for Success fundraising program for schools, clubs and non-profits, and accepts community donation and sponsorship requests. Online and in-store services run side by side, and weekly biological-control special orders give home gardeners and commercial growers access to natural pest management solutions.
