Organisation Profile and History
The British Columbia Landscape & Nursery Association (BCLNA), founded in 1953, is the provincial trade association representing British Columbia’s horticulture and landscape industry. Headquartered in BC and affiliated with the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) at the national level, the BCLNA unites landscape contractors, nursery and greenhouse growers, retail garden centres, and industry suppliers across the province under a long-standing mission to position BC as a globally recognised centre for horticulture and landscape practice.
Industry Advocacy and Issue Management
As the industry’s collective voice in British Columbia, the BCLNA advocates with government and regulatory bodies on the issues that most affect its members. Issue management currently spans invasive pests such as the Japanese beetle, emerald ash borer, Dutch elm disease, European chafer beetle, strawberry blossom weevil, and box tree moth, alongside environmental stewardship topics including drought and water management, pesticide use, ground disturbance, and the energy transition.
