开放日的信息会提前在苗圃的社交媒体和 KwaliteitsPlanten.nl 网站公布。

其他欧盟国家的销售通过姐妹网站 StaudenOnline.de 进行。 荷兰和比利时之外的客户如果通过 KwaliteitsPlanten.nl 下单,订单会被引导到 StaudenOnline.de 处理。

Site Positioning and Operating Entity

KwaliteitsPlanten.nl is a Dutch online perennial plant shop whose name translates as “quality plants” in English. The shop ships directly from its own nursery Kwekerij Heutinck and holds year-round stock of more than 6000 perennial varieties, making it one of the larger perennial webshops in the domestic channel.

Parent company Kwekerij Heutinck is headquartered in Borculo, Gelderland, Netherlands and has been growing perennials since 1986. Today the nursery operates three separate production sites in Borculo, Enschede, and Nordkirchen (Germany), supplying trade nurseries, garden centres, and wholesale customers across Europe. According to the company’s own LinkedIn disclosure, roughly seven million plants are kept in production at any one time, with most of the range propagated from the nursery’s own mother stock to ensure varietal trueness and root health.

KwaliteitsPlanten.nl (retail) and Kwekerij Heutinck (wholesale) are two different sales channels of the same nursery. Wholesale enquiries go to info@heutinck.eu; retail customer service is handled by KwaliteitsPlanten.nl. Messages from home gardeners sent to the wholesale address are redirected back to the retail desk.

Nursery Background and Proprietary Cultivars

Many of Kwekerij Heutinck’s staff have been with the company long-term, and a high share of propagation work is done in-house. From its own breeding programme the nursery has introduced several named cultivars that are still in commercial circulation: Centaurea montana ‘Jordy’ (deep purple cornflower), Bergenia ‘Jelle’ (white-flowered elephant’s ears), Sempervivum ‘Gerbeun’ (house-leek), and Gypsophila ‘Jolien’ (compact baby’s breath).

Once a year in September the nursery holds an Open Day for visitors; private visits outside this window are not accepted. The Open Day schedule is published in advance on the nursery’s social channels and on KwaliteitsPlanten.nl. Staff composition is weighted toward long-term local employees, with internal training covering propagation through to dispatch.

Product Catalogue Structure

The shop keeps more than 6000 perennial varieties in active stock. Most are shipped in P9 square pots (9 cm, roughly 0.5 litre volume), with a smaller range available in 11 cm pots. Plants can be browsed by Latin botanical name (A-Z) or by Dutch common name (A-Z), and filtered by special-use categories including insect-friendly plants, culinary herbs, native species, ground covers, ornamental grasses, and ferns.

The site offers combined filters for flower colour, blooming month (January through December), mature height (seven bands from 1-15 cm up to over 250 cm), light requirement (full sun, half shade, or shade), and soil moisture (dry, normal, or moist). Each plant page lists Latin name, common name, expected height, spacing, light and moisture needs, frost tolerance, and recommended companion plants.

Two ready-made bundles are aimed at newer gardeners: “Vierkant Metertje” (one square metre), designed for quick planting of small urban courtyards, and “Verrassingspakketten” (surprise packs), a blind-selection bundle for gardeners who prefer to leave the combination to the grower.

Ordering and Delivery

The minimum order value is 25 euro (excluding shipping) for both the Netherlands and Belgium. PostNL handles dispatch and customers receive a track-and-trace link by email; Dutch and Belgian orders are usually delivered the next working day, including Saturdays. Shipping costs are tiered by pot count: 9 euro for 1-24 plants, rising through the brackets, with Belgium costing about 1 euro more per bracket than the Netherlands. Orders above 361 plants are quoted individually.

For other EU member states the shop redirects customers to its sister site StaudenOnline.de, which uses the same nursery supply and price list but presents a German-language interface, German-market payment options, and German customer service. Customers outside the Netherlands and Belgium who try to place an order on KwaliteitsPlanten.nl are directed to StaudenOnline.de for fulfilment.

Accepted payment methods include iDeal, Wero, credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Billink (pay-after-delivery within 14 days, Netherlands only, with a 2 euro surcharge), and Bancontact for Belgian customers. Orders can also be collected from the Borculo nursery by appointment, with the nursery calling the customer once plants are ready for handover.

Quality Guarantee and External Certification

The shop runs its own quality guarantee: customers may return plants without giving a reason within 14 days of receipt; plants whose root systems are insufficient at dispatch are proactively resupplied; if a variety turns out not true to type, customers can send a photo together with their order data and the nursery traces and compensates the issue. For early-spring orders where winter damage may not yet be visible, the nursery waits for the growing season before deciding on replacement or refund.

Externally, the shop has been a member of Stichting WebwinkelKeur (Dutch Webshop Trustmark Foundation) since 15 February 2016. Customer reviews are collected and displayed automatically by WebwinkelKeur; the shop cannot edit or suppress individual reviews. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly with the shop, customers may escalate through WebwinkelKeur mediation or through the European Commission’s ODR platform.

The site’s privacy statement, brought in line with the AVG (GDPR) regime that took effect in 2019, sets out that customer data is used only for order handling and dispatch, is not shared with third parties for marketing, and is deleted or anonymised in line with statutory retention requirements once an order is closed.
