The store opened in 2002 in what had been an old gas station and has since committed itself to expert plant care paired with the best customer experience possible. Store hours are Monday to Saturday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday and holidays 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Seasonal Stock: Spring, Summer/Fall and Christmas
Seasonality is at the heart of the store’s identity. In spring the shelves carry a wide selection of flowering annuals, succulents, certified-organic vegetables and herbs, hanging baskets from 11 to 20 inches for full sun, part sun and full shade, a strong perennial line, Prairie-hardy shrubs, fruit trees and evergreens. Summer and fall keep annuals and especially perennials coming right up until the first snow, alongside fall-themed planters, bulbs such as tulips, daffodils and allium, fall plants including mums, pansies, ornamental grasses and rudbeckia, and locally grown pumpkins. At Christmas the store specialises in freshly cut Canadian-grown trees from 3 to 12 feet tall, with Fraser Fir as the signature variety for needle retention; the range also includes Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, fresh greenery, wreaths, garland, ornaments and Cinco Never-Fail tree stands.
