台灣珍貴的藥草故鄉台東，2005年成立台東原生應用植物園。日治時代即為日本人的藥草重鎮，黑潮、海溝、東北季風與太平洋暖流，使台東孕育超過1000種藥用植物，稱之「藥草王國」。
园区概况
台東原生應用植物園在2005年成立，國內以魚腥草、白鶴靈芝、雷公根、香椿、紅刺蔥為台東五寶，除了著手推展食草概念的養生汆燙鍋，也將五寶做成茶包成為園內知名的養生茶飲白鶴靈芝茶、魚腥草茶，或加入各項食品內，如麵條、剝皮辣椒、麻糬，成為台東知名的特產，也是遊客來台東必訪的景點。

天空步道與青青草原構成遼闊視野；引進鴕鳥與小羊的牧場風光；餐廳落地窗眺望花東縱谷山脈。
Taitung Native Applied Botanical Garden (台東原生應用植物園), established in 2005, sits in Taiwan’s treasured medicinal herb homeland. During the Japanese colonial period, the area served as a key medicinal herb cultivation center. The unique Kuroshio Current, ocean trenches, northeastern monsoons, and Pacific warm currents have nurtured over 1,000 species of medicinal plants, earning the region the name “Kingdom of Medicinal Herbs.”
Garden Overview
Taitung’s “Five Treasures”—Houttuynia, Ganoderma lucidum (baihe lingzhi), Centella asiatica, Toona sinensis, and Zanthoxylum ailanthoides—are processed into wellness teas and incorporated into specialty foods including noodles, peeled pepper, and mochi.
Health Hot Pot
The garden’s signature health-conscious hot pot (汆燙鍋) features Cishin organic vegetables grown on-site. Dozens of rare native mountain vegetables—uncommon at ordinary restaurants—showcase the region’s botanical diversity. Herb-fed battle chickens are served with Baihe Lingzhi chili sauce. Adult hot pot: NT$549 plus NT$50 service charge per person.
Garden Scenery
The sky walkway and verdant grasslands offer sweeping panoramic views. Ostriches and lambs in the pastoral area bring rustic charm. The restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows frame the mountain range, surrounded by refreshing phytoncides.
