Organizational History

The National Gardening Association (NGA) was founded in 1971 by Lyman Wood as “Gardens for All.” Over the following decades, NGA evolved with the times, publishing the National Gardening Magazine with a circulation exceeding 250,000 subscribers, known for cutting-edge, high-quality gardening information and design innovations. As the internet became widely available, the association shifted its focus to online resource platforms.
