The brand takes its name from the historic city, renowned for its beautiful gardens, and was established to provide decorative items and furnishings that bring the elegance of the garden into both outdoor and indoor spaces. Its curated product range spans birdhouses and feeders, wall fountains, garden accents, treillage and topiary, wall art, statuary and sculpture, indoor and outdoor furniture, outdoor lighting, planters and pedestals, outdoor rugs and doormats, faux floral décor, and gifts for gardeners, children, and bird lovers, positioning the brand as a comprehensive lifestyle destination for garden enthusiasts.

History and Brand Legacy

The brand’s trajectory spans three decades of continuous operation. In late1995 Charleston Gardens® launched its first12-page mail-order catalog, and in April1998 the official website went live, completing a three-channel model that combined the brick-and-mortar store, the print catalog, and e-commerce. Founder and President Leeda Marting steered product direction for the entire period, with the in-house team developing hundreds of exclusive products each year in collaboration with a group of artists and artisans. On December31,2024, Charleston Gardens® closed its doors after thirty years in business, with all orders fulfilled, returns processed, and outstanding matters resolved, marking the conclusion of an influential era in the U.S. garden décor retail sector.
