明尼苏达州玉簪协会（Minnesota Hosta Society，简称MHS）成立于1991年，是美国玉簪协会（American Hosta Society）的地方分会。协会致力于推动明尼苏达州及周边地区玉簪爱好者的交流与品种推广，通过年会、玉簪展、花园开放日等活动促进社群凝聚，会员可免费订阅年度会刊《The Hostaphile》。
年度主要活动
协会每年举办三场常规会议（2月、4月、10月）及春季非正式聚会。常规会议在明尼阿波利斯市Bachman’s Heritage Room举办，邀请业内知名讲者分享玉簪及耐阴花园植物的最新资讯。此外还有春季盆栽聚会（玉簪上盆与贴标）、6月年度玉簪展销会（位于Eden Prairie的Smith Coffee & Cafe，对会员8:00开放，公众9:00起）、6-7月会员花园开放日参观活动。明尼苏达州博览会期间，协会与Rochester玉簪协会联合设立展位，每两年举办一次。
玉簪展览花园
协会位于Eden Prairie市Smith Coffee & Cafe的玉簪展示花园自2013年建成以来，已收集超过450个玉簪品种。花园于每年5月至9月开放参观（8:00-15:00），游客可在此观赏到丰富的品种展示。协会定期出版花园平面图和品种清单PDF供下载。
2026年重要活动
2026年协会参与了美国玉簪协会新展览规则的试点改革。2月28日冬季会议邀请讲者Don Rawson分享”节省时间和成本的技巧”；4月25日春季会议由Danny Lawson主讲”庆祝AHS国家展览花园”。6月10-13日协会将组团参加在俄亥俄州Dublin举办的美国玉簪协会全国大会。
English Introduction
The Minnesota Hosta Society (MHS), established in 1991, is a local chapter of the American Hosta Society dedicated to promoting communication and cultivation among Hosta enthusiasts in Minnesota and surrounding areas. The society organizes annual meetings, Hosta shows, garden tours, and other events to foster community engagement, with members receiving the quarterly newsletter “The Hostaphile” free of charge.
Annual Events
MHS hosts three regular meetings annually in February, April, and October, plus an informal spring gathering. Regular meetings are held at Bachman’s Heritage Room in Minneapolis, featuring presentations by industry experts on Hosta and shade garden topics. Additional events include a spring potting party, the annual Hosta Sale in June at Smith Coffee & Cafe in Eden Prairie (open to members at 8am, public at 9am), and member garden tours in June-July. MHS also co-hosts a booth at the Minnesota State Fair every other year with the Rochester Hosta Society.
Display Garden
The society’s Display Garden at Smith Coffee & Cafe in Eden Prairie has grown to feature over 450 Hosta varieties since its establishment in 2013. The garden is open May through September from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, offering visitors the opportunity to view diverse cultivar displays. The society publishes garden diagrams and cultivar lists as downloadable PDFs.
2026 Highlights
In 2026, MHS is participating in a pilot program for the American Hosta Society’s new show schedule. The winter meeting on February 28 features speaker Don Rawson on “Tips to Save Money and Time,” while the spring meeting on April 25 hosts Danny Lawson presenting “Celebrating the AHS National Display Gardens.” The society will also send a delegation to the AHS National Convention in Dublin, Ohio from June 10-13.
